Inter-Regional Race of Champions

is a pompous name for a very fun event.  The event - which we believe is the longest running inter-regional event in PCA - is a series of autocrosses we run with our friends from Motor-Stadt and Michiana regions.

These events help you learn how to properly maneuver your car around a course of pylons in a parking lot. Instructors and helmets are available and we always welcome and encourage new drivers!

You run against a clock and there is only one driver on the course at a time - so it is as safe as you make it. This is a wonderful opportunity to better learn the limits of your car and your own driving skills.

Every IROC event starts out with an Autocross Driving School where you can borrow a helmet and will be assigned an Instructor to help you learn the ins and outs of autocrossing.

TBA - IROC I - Motor-Stadt Region - MSR - @ Spartan Speedway (Mason, Michigan)  The track is ten minutes south of Lansing, or one mile north of the US-127 and Mason interchange on Cedar Street.  Get driving directions here.

TBA - IROC III - West Michigan Region - WMR - @ the Ionia Fairgrounds (Ionia, Michigan).  Take I-96 East or West, exit M-66 North.  The fairgrounds are about 5 miles north of I-96, just over the river, on the left.  Detailed directions are available here.

Registration and tech inspections usually begin about 9:00 am

There is a Driver's Meeting/ Track Walk around 10:30 and we start running any novices at about 11:00 am.

Once we start the timed events, you will get five or six timed runs.

We welcome you and encourage you to try autocrossing!  It's a cheap ($25 per driver), fun, and educational experience.  If you have any questions, please email Ted Blacklidge, 616-866-4143 or sgrafex@chartermi.net for more information.

All convertibles may participate in these events with the top closed. All open cars must have either a roll bar, cage, or extender using the famous "broomstick rule."  Questions?  Please email Ted.
