THE SPEEDSTER 50TH ANNIVERSARY EVENT
June 25-27, 2004 ~ Pebble Beach, California

 

The Porsche Speedster turns fifty in 2004. We invite you to celebrate
this historic occasion with us in and around Pebble Beach, California
June 25-27, 2004 at the Speedster 50th Anniversary™ Event.

 

We will honor the Speedster, its predecessor – the America Roadster, and
its successor – the Convertible D. We expect more than 325 Speedsters,
America Roadsters, and Convertible Ds, from all over the world. All the
Speedster prototypes, the Convertible D prototype, most of the America
Roadsters, and the last two Speedsters produced will be there. 

 

You don't have to own a Speedster, Convertible D, or America Roadster to
attend. There will be a large Porsche Corral program for other 356s and
all other Porsches.

 

There will be scenic driving tours – including the old Pebble Beach Races
route, parts and literature swaps, fine dining, special entertainment,
and elegant Porsches displays . "What we're really trying to focus on is
having a lot of fun, exchanging information, and sharing the cars with
one another,”said event organizer Steve Heinrichs. "No one will have to
prep their cars for competition," he added.

 

Whether you have a pristine show car, a daily driver, a racecar, or an
outlaw - even if you can't bring a Porsche - you are invited to join the
faithful for this historic celebration on the beautiful Monterey
Peninsula.

 

News Flash: On Saturday, June 26, 2004 - as part of the Speedster 50th
Anniversary Event - 150 lucky registrants will run a lap at the legendary
Laguna Seca Raceway. Each of these registrants will receive a photo of
their car as it runs through the Corkscrew - one of the most famous
series of corners in all of racing.

 

The lucky 150 to run at Laguna will be chosen through a lottery of
all registrations postmarked by September 30, 2003 - the close of early
registration. The 150 selected will be given first choice to run at
Laguna for a nominal fee ($35) which will include the photo in the
Corkscrew. Remember, you must register by September 30, 2003 to be
eligible for the Laguna Laps Lottery.
