Zone 4 Website | FEBRUARY 7, 2001 CLUB MEETING Meeting Held At: Alan Christian Motorcars began at 7:00PM Members Present: Frank Koger, Michele Fisher, Bill Moses, Craig Ackerman, Kurt Wirth, Carol Friday, Annette and Renwick Brutus, Rick Riley, Skip Meyers, Bill and Winnie White, Colin Carperter, Doug and Laurie Tepper, Mike Wendling, Jack Decker, John Boockmeier, John VanWeelte, and John Nuerenberg. January Minutes Approved. Treasurer's Report: Approved. WWW.ISERV.NET/`WMR: 192 visitors to the site in January; representing second highest number of visitors in a month next to July 2000 (196), and January 2000 at 70 visitors. Uber Aces has 99 members. Membership Report/Advertising: New member John VanWeelte introduced. Membership roster from National as of the end of the year indicates WMR has 261 members. Club materials will be mailed to John Nuerenberg to place in Go Porsche's rack. UBER ALLES Report: articles for March must be in by February 10. National is having a newsletter contest in which we may participate. Porsche Emporium Report: all set for Winterfest.. Insurance Report: nothing to report.. Activities Report: nothing to report. IROC Report: WMR is holding our IROC on July 15; date, time, and location are firm, to be held at WM Auto Auction. August 26 is the date for Motor Stad's IROC; June 17 is out. Michiana is holding a driver's ed on May 20. Charity Report: Building Block will remain the charity for 2001. Several questions will be asked and resolved during the course of this year to determine 1) are we going to continue supporting a charity; 2) what do we want from the donation, i.e. publicity, involvement, etc., and 3) is their a charity that would better serve our membership's needs, from Traverse City to Kalamazoo. President's Report: Meeting places for the next few months are set. Received a 4th quarter 2000 rebate check from PCA for $782.00. Old Business: Participant/Enthusiast for 2001/2002 is structured so anybody in the club could win. Highlights and notices will be announced regularly. New Business: WinterFest 2001, as of 2/8/01, has 71 paid attendees. NASCAR Silicon Motor Speedway Challenge will be the end of March at Rivertown Crossing. OPEN FORUM: 2001 Great Lakes Driver Ed Event Schedule was distributed. Skip Meyers announced a Spring Service Roll-Out at Alan Christian Motorcars - 20% labor discount through April, 2001.
