JUNE 27, 2001 CLUB MEETING MINUTES

Meeting at Bill and Marilyn Moses' Home at 7:03PM

Members Present: John and Sally Nuerenberg, Kurt Wirth, Erwin and Barb Register, Laurie and Doug Tepper, Robert Clark, Frank Schaeffer, Rob Geyer, Carol Friday, Frank Koger, Larry Baum, Craig Ackerman, Marilyn and Bill Moses, Renwick and Annette Brutus, Colin Carpenter, and Barry Collick.

May Minutes Approved

Treasurer's Report: an extra $20 from the Traverse City event was placed in the Building Block fund; $11,312 is presently in the Treasury.

WWW.ISERV.NET~WMR: 114 UBER ACES members; will re-invite people by e-mail to join; 192 visitors representing a consistent 4% increase steadily per month; some Boxster Stampede inquiries outside of our region

Membership report/Advertising: nothing new to report.

UBERALLES Report: articles need to be submitted by the 10th of July

Porsche Emporium Report: sales did well in Traverse City; jewelry can no longer be on consignment; not a good business opportunity to continue the emporium but will re-visit this issue in July

Insurance Report: looking for a new chairperson; Drummond Island will not need insurance

Activities Report: Greg will get articles from people by the 10th

IROC Report: June 3rd's Indiana event Don Meyer was FTD; our event is July 15; Lansing's event is Aug. 26 at Spartan Speedway

President's Report: PCA National Parade: discussed; 2 members present will be attending
Boxster Stampede and Autocross: on Sat. Jul 14th the set-up crew will organize; Frank has arranged for the cook at Auto Auction to fix a brat, burger, fries, salad and drink for a flat fee of $6.50 for IROC and Boxster Stampede participants(club will give him a stipend for coming in on a Sunday); Laurie Tepper said that Building Block will be accepting checks for noon touring that day.

Old Business: both Craig and Bill listed the updates for Enthusiasts'of the Year awards
June Dinner Drive and Spring Up to Traverse were both very successful this year.

New Business: July meeting at Go Porsche-meet at GR Brewing Co. at 6:00PM first for dinner; Aug. meeting at Doug and Laurie Tepper's house.

Open Forum:
Drive to Drummond Island-20 cars expected; info will be sent individually; Barry and Candice Collick will meet group at Information Center at St. Ignace at noon on Friday
Michigan International Soccer Club: looking for volunteers on Labor Day weekend
MSU Alumni Cars on Campus, Charity Concours on Sat. Aug 12; prefer older models
Larry Baum reported that WMR did well at the Putnam Pk. Club Races: Claudio was 1st in class; David Baum was 2nd in class;Craig was 3rd in class; and David and Larry performed 8th overall together
John Nuerenberg proposed a dollar limit on spending by individuals or committees-an "expenses accounting act"-motion was passed. Anything over $250 will be placed before the club for a vote; if in-between meetings, the officers will decide.
