Minutes of the West Michigan Region of the Porsche Club of America

January 9, 2006

David called the meeting to order at 7:02PM at Delta Imports

Members present were: David Reid, Arnie Axelrod, Kurt Wirth, Amber Door, Brenda Hildon, Rick Riley, Lina Spross, Larry Baum

Minutes: Approved.

Treasurer: Approved. Amber created a great financial summary of the last 6 years. The checking account is in the process of being changed over.

Webmaster: No report.

Membership: No report.

Advertising: No report.

UBER: No report.

Insurance: Kurt did not have anything new to report regarding insurance.

Driving Events: Kurt reported that we’ve made the down payment for Grattan. Insurance will be $50 more this year. Discussion was made regarding increasing the number of participants and/or increasing the fees. No decision was made at this time.

IROC: We are in need of a replacement for Doug Tepper.

Activities: No report

Enthusiast Award Report: Lina is in the process of ordering the awards that will be presented to the Enthusiast and runner up.

PRESIDENT’S REPORT:

Regional Report Forms at National are due by the 15th – David is in the process of getting these forms submitted.

Winter Transition Checklists and Board Continuity Information – contains suggestions for club activities/events, etc. If anyone would like a copy of the checklist, email David.

The Regional Presidents Meeting is March 18th in Detroit. The location has not been announced.

NEW BUSINESS:

January Dinner Drive: 1/18 @ Mangiamo’s in Grand Rapids. This event will be priced $25 per person + gratuity, cash bar, no separate checks (please bring cash!) Details in the Uber and on the web (please note the new menu).

David would like ideas, suggestions and feedback to help him out with improving the club. Please email David @ dreid993@comcast.net. All feedback will remain confidential.

The Cayman intro is January 14th @ Noto’s restaurant in Grand Rapids 5-7pm. RSVP Delta Imports
