Minutes of the West Michigan Region of the Porsche Club of America

June 2, 2008

Vice President Dan Phillips called meeting to order at 7:12 pm.

Members present: Dan Phillips, Amber Door, Rick Riley, Colin Carpenter, Gabi Blacklidge

 Minutes:  Approved

Treasurer’s Report: Approved

Webmaster:  Website was updated May 13^th.

Membership: Primary Members 261; Affiliate Members 211; Total 472.

4 New Members:  Curtis & Joshua Jorgensen, Ray & Trix Lutes, Serge & Julie Muts, Don & Helen Sazama. Transfer Out: 1.  Nonrenewals: 10. Renewals: 27.

Advertising:  no advertising report.

Uber: Gabi asked the club to consider the possibility of enlarging the Uber during the months with more club activity. After discussion, Colin made a motion, Amber seconded; motion carried: If the club receives the equivalent of one or two more full-page ads, the overall size could be increased by 4 pages.

Insurance Report:  no report

Driving Events:  The club is looking for new Charity volunteers to assist with the lunchtime Track Touring and possibly provide breakfast items on Saturday and Sunday morning at Grattan in September.

This is the first year for Grattan registration to be available online at www.clubregistration.net.   Next year registration will be online only. 

Old Business: 

The May Dinner Drive hosted by John & Marshall Walters was very well attended.

 New Business: 

Spring Up in Traverse City is the June Dinner Drive event.

Amber reported a possible new source for nametags.
